Volunteer

There are many ways parents and carers can help their children have fun and develop in Scouting. A Scout Group is a community effort, without our community we cannot offer Scouting opportunities to your children. Talk to a Leader if you would like to get involved.

Adult Helpers

If you're a parent who has some time to offer but can't make a big commitment, becoming an Adult Helper would be ideal. You might be asked to be an extra set of hands at a meeting or activity and will be close to the action that your child is also enjoying.

Committee Members

Each Scout Group has a Group Committee that oversees and assists in administrative and financial matters. The committee has a Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer, and other roles as required. The Committee approves large expenditures and has a say in the direction of the Group, they are there to support the Leaders in their delivery of Scouting.

Leaders

The Group will always have an ongoing need for Leaders. Being a Leader does take more commitment but is very rewarding. You don't need to have been a Scout or Guide in your youth to become a leader, all the training and support you need will be made available to you. You may already be an outdoors-y kind of person, or perhaps you would like to become one, either way you will certainly experience a range of interesting experiences as a Leader.
